I love to cook. And I love to cook using my crockpot! Most crockpot recipes are super simple and are ready in 4-8 hours. So prep, turn on crockpot, and go!
Here is what I made for dinner tonight. I typically shop organic, but if that is unavailable to you, no worries. Serves 4 hungry people.
What you'll need: 4 organic Italian chicken sausages (I like to squeeze it out of its casing and create meatballs with it) 4 large carrots, peeled and chopped 4 celery stalks, chopped 1 can diced tomatoes 1 small diced onion handful of grape or cherry tomatoes (halved)- optional 1 32 fl oz organic low sodium chicken broth dried oregano, garlic powder and black pepper- 1 tsp each *Due to the amount of salt in the sausage and broth, I prefer to omit salt(especially if you intend on adding cheese at the end)
Combine all ingredients and cook on high for 4 hours. Top with optional parmesan cheese and a dollop of nonfat greek yogurt. Enjoy!
